Roofs

Often overlooked and underappreciated, a roof says alot about the personality of a house. A simple style suggests classic tradition, while something more elaborate is the icing on a delicious cake.

Roof styles include:

Bonnet Roof Bonnet
Cross Gabled Roof Cross gabled: Often used for Tudors and Cape Cods
Front Gabled Roof Front gabled: Used for Cape Cods and Colonials
Gambrel Roof Gambrel: Either front- or side-faced; used in Dutch Colonials
Hipped Roof Hipped: Used in 1 and 2- stories and four square Bungalows
Mansard Roof Mansard: Often found in French Colonial and Ranch styles
Pavilion Hipped Roof Pavilion-hipped: Featured in Cape Cod, Colonial, and Ranch styles
Salt Box Roof Salt Box: Featured the two-story colonial style Saltbox, which is common in the eastern United States
Side Gabled Roof Side-gabled
